PrideRock Wildlife Refuge volunteers go to Africa

PrideRock Wildlife Refuge volunteers Liz Young and Dave Burton (two on left in photo) traveled more than 9,100 miles to Africa in December 2015 where they spent two weeks at Keven Rickardson’s Wildlife Sanctuary. They were immersed in daily duties caring for lions, leopards, and hyenas that call the sanctuary home. While it was hard work, it was an experience of a lifetime and they have a new-found love of Africa.

Liz an Dave have already planned their next trip for November 2016. Dave and Liz are photographed above with sanctuary employee Elbe Visser and two other volunteers Sophie Baz of the U.K. and Candice DeJager of Austrailia.

Dave and Liz began volunteering at PrideRock in April 2015 and prior to that, volunteered for InSync Exotics for three years.
