Today is officially “International Day Of Charity” and is a special time of year because while September is the month for giving back to your community, it’s also the month that we focus our efforts on our biggest fundraiser of the year – North Texas Giving Day (NTXD). When you donate to a non-profit like PrideRock Wildlife Refuge you are giving us the ability to advance our mission of rescuing wild animals in need of a forever home. So, how can you help?!
WHAT IS NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY
Communities Foundation of Texas’ NTX Giving Day is an annual online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits using one easy platform! NTX Giving Day is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation and mobilizes nonprofits and givers to create lasting impact in their communities. In 2020, 106,000 generous, cause-minded friends in North Texas (and beyond!) raised $58.8 million, benefiting over 3,200 local nonprofits, including PrideRock Wildlife Refuge.
OUR GOAL AND NEEDS
This year our goal is to raise $30,000 for a new enclosure. This new enclosure will allow us to bring in more animals for us to provide the tender loving care they need. We want more space for our animals to feel safe and comfortable and this new enclosure will allow us to more of our current animals.
SAVE THE DATE – SEPTEMBER 23RD
The 13th annual NTX Giving Day is Thursday, September 23, from 6am (CT) – midnight. All the fun happens online. However, gifts can be made early starting September 1st!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
1. Your gift matters! On September 23rd, donate to PrideRock between 6 a.m. and midnight. Help us reach our $30,000 goal! Not available on September 23? No worries! Make your gift early between September 1st and September 22nd!
2. Spread the word to your friends and loved ones about PrideRock and North Texas Giving Day! Don’t forget to tag #PrideRockWild and #NTxGivingDay if you’re posting online! Encourage your friends and family to get up and give as well! Communities Foundation of Texas is even offering a prize for the social media post that’s shared the most!
