| Throwaway Cubs |

Jammu and Kashmir, now grown tigers, are loving and beautiful, notwithstanding their early misfortunes.
At 2 weeks of age these tiger cubs were considered throwaway cubs! They were not white, and they needed immediate veterinary care which would have cost their irresponsible breeder/owner more money than they were worth. Thanks to the attention of a very unselfish and compassionate sanctuary, these cubs were removed from their life-threatening existence and received the veterinary care they so badly needed. At seven weeks of age (below), and well on their way to recovery, these cubs were placed with PrideRock. As a result, all of their present and future veterinary care and housing expense now rests on the shoulders of PrideRock! This includes them being neutered and a new enclosure built for these guys. PrideRock needs your support in this effort to provide these "throwaway cubs" with a good, long life. At seven months old, the cubs were moved into their new enclosure. These are pictures of their first tour of their new home, and the toys that came with it. What do you do for tiger cubs on their first birthday? Have a party with cake, of course! Five pounds of ground sirloin each, with liver, gizzard and heart icing and 1 drum stick in the middle. We just couldn't figure out how to light the drum stick, but that didn't seem to matter. Each baby had his own birthday cake and couldn't wait to get at it!! Yumm, yumm!!!!!! Mom, I licked all the icing off first ... now I gotta eat all this cake? I'm saving the drumstick till last...this is too much fun!!! Wonder what we get when we are two years old??? Hey, bro, ain't life grand now that we live at PrideRock?!! |
