Merry Christmas has come an gone, Carol has been in bed with the flu or something as she bemoans: "The closest I can get to my tigers lately is looking at them out of my bedroom window. :-( I'm looking at my girl Shealee laying on her back on top of her house swishing her tail back and forth. Nice.. I'm sure she's wondering where the heck her mom is!! I think I must have the swine flu at this point.." But as for me, I'm glad that she is getting better by the day and should be as good as new with the beginning of the New Year, So everyone have a Happy and Prosperous New Year!!! | My brother's birthday |

Today is my brother's birthday. He would have been 47, but left us on February 4. I have missed him so much and our family was devastated to say the least. I have learned that life goes on, but the sadness is still there and will be for some time... He never got to visit PrideRock, but I feel he can see clearly now, the cats and love we have for them. My animals have sustained me through this sad time and I thank God each day for them. David, I know you are with God now and are happy and whole. Love and miss you always! Dear Friends ~ Our year has gotten off to a good start at PRWR.. In spite of their caretakers' physical setbacks, everyone at PR seems healthy and happy with the exception of Charly, my one year old akita who is out of control. I think we are going to contact the Dog Whisperer for her. She is going to kill us way before anyone else out here. ;-) She is so strong now that Gary and I walk her in and out of the house with two leashes! I am reminded of my neck problems while trying to mimic Gabe as he greets me swaying his head and talking. Gary is recovering nicely from his hip replacements so I can slack a little now.:-)

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I let everyone know what’s going on around PrideRock. Seasons have come and gone, the leaves are falling and time gets away. It will be impossible to remember all the good things that have come our way and the people who make it all happen. Thanksgiving is a good time to remember and be grateful for our blessed animals and friends. We had a priest come out last weekend and bless each and every one which was awe-inspiring. All the cats and canines seem healthy and happy which is most important.

Unfortunately there was an incident in Kaufman County involving a tiger and an individual working for the owner. We have had many emails and phone calls wanting to know if it was us, rest assured that it was not!!

| A new pen for Rambo |

I can’t believe summer is almost here. The heat is on at PrideRock and the misters and swimming holes will be in place soon! We have had so much going on and thanks to our friends at GMAC, we have the money necessary to construct a new tiger pen to make room for our tiger, Rambo who has been with us since last fall. He is our largest tiger and has been in the smallest space since his rescue so he desperately needs a new enclosure.
